Faith Statement
IFI – In Focus Int’l
- 1. We believe that God inspired the Scriptures and declares His design and plan for humanity. We accept authority of the whole canonical Scriptures as the inerrant and only Word of God.
- 2. We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus as God’s son was fully human and fully divine.
- 3. We believe that there is only one true God who is revealed in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, commonly called the Trinity.
- 4. We believe that man willing fell into sin, which ushered evil and death of a physical and spiritual nature into the world.
- 5. We believe that God’s call to humanity is open to all people, that all people have opportunity to have their relationship with God restored through salvation. We believe in the doctrine of justification by faith.
- 6. We believe receiving the Holy Spirit is a special experience, which empowers believers for witnessing and effective service.
- 7. We believe that sanctification initially occurs at salvation, but is also a process which is progressively occurring and will continue to occur as we draw closer to God (been, being and will be).
- 8. We believe in the mission of the local church, called by God to seek and save the Lost. The church consists of a body of believers who have accepted redemption offered through Jesus Christ’s sacrificial gift, regardless of denomination.
- 9. We believe in divinely called and biblically ordained leadership of God’s ministry to serve the local church. The Bible teaches that we are to submit to leaders, we are to commit ourselves to be part of a body of believers who edify and build one another.
- 10. We believe that divine healing is a privilege for all Christians today, the purpose of healing is to bring glory to God. Healing is God’s intervention into the world that He created, at His pleasure, and is not a reflection of purity or any status before God.
- 11. We believe that Jesus will return for His church, those who believe and those who have believed and are presently dead.
- 12. We believe in a final judgment, those who have rejected Christ will be consigned to eternal damnation and separation from God. Those who have accepted Christ’s atoning sacrifice can look forward to eternity with Him, in a New World.
